Fire Equipment Compliance for DoD Firefighters — Backed by Decades of Experience
AOS Services, Inc. is a trusted provider of comprehensive fire equipment testing, training, and compliance services for Department of Defense and municipal fire departments. With roots in engineering and a legacy of service in high-stakes environments, we specialize in keeping first responders mission-ready and fully NFPA-compliant.
Our Story: From Engineering to Firefighter Readiness
Founded in 1996 by David and Kimberly Jolley, AOS began as a deep water engineering firm in Honolulu before transitioning into compressed breathing air systems for military firefighters, focusing on hydrostatic testing of SCBA cylinders. After 9/11, AOS signed a major contract with PACAF and expanded to support U.S. Air Force fire departments and remote outposts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, and Antarctica. Today, AOS serves DoD fire departments and Texas municipalities with bundled testing, maintenance, and training programs built for total compliance confidence.

Chief Thomas Thompson, Retired Fire Chief
"Maintaining critical response equipment is a management responsibility to ensure your department is ready to respond safely. Too often, juggling multiple contracts leads to delays, cost overruns, and conflicting schedules.
The need for a “one stop shop company” to maintain and re-certify critical equipment makes sense both managerially and fiscally. As a CFAI Accredited Agency, we had to show credibility and proof of proper equipment maintenance—across 11 stations and a long list including hose testing, SCBA flow testing, hydrostatic testing, and hazmat suit testing.
AOS has provided the best level of customer support and compliance testing. They took a disorganized program, built it to our department’s needs, and always went the extra step. Their service helped us meet CFAI standards, and their technicians are efficient, skillful, and hardworking. "
(AOS has provided services at the last three bases for Chief Thompson --
McChord AFB, Camp Butler and Camp Pendleton)
As the Fire Chief at Misawa Air Base in Japan, I had the opportunity to work with AOS Services for over two years, during which they provided outstanding support for our small engine maintenance and various other operational needs. What immediately stood out to me about AOS was their professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail. They operated with the kind of precision and accountability that you hope for in a partner, especially in a mission-critical environment.
The difference their services made to our department was substantial. By keeping our equipment in top shape and proactively addressing maintenance needs, AOS significantly improved our operational readiness and reduced downtime. That kind of reliability is invaluable in emergency services, where performance and timing can mean everything.
I believe any department—military or civilian—that values dependable support, streamlined service, and high-quality technical work would benefit from working with AOS. Their team understands the stakes and consistently delivers with excellence.
